Native American Sweat Lodge

Experience a traditional sweat lodge, a deeply healing and spiritually enriching group ceremony. Sweat lodges take a lot of work to prepare, and most of our lodge leaders do not live in the local area, so these must be booked as far in advance as possible. Ceremonies usually include traditional prayers and songs and are often intended for purification and/or healing. Even people who are experienced with sweats, and attending a ceremony led by a properly trained and authorized traditional Native American ceremonial leader, could suddenly experience problems due to underlying health issues. It is recommended that people only attend lodges with authorized, traditional spiritual leaders. Loose comfortable clothing recommended, covering the knees and shoulders for women. Women on their moon are not permitted inside the lodge.
