Directs all activities of the housekeeping department to ensure completion of daily service duties of the guest rooms and public areas are carried out (20%)
Schedules duties such as, heavy cleaning, room turnovers and refreshes of guest meeting spaces
Prepares work schedules for all housekeeping staff with upper management based on retreat specific details for deep cleaning projects, room turnovers and refreshes
Works in conjunction with other department managers and reports to the Director, Assistant Director and Operations manager to achieve organizational goals.
Maintains an inventory of housekeeping supplies and linens, ordering replacement of supplies and equipment as needed (Prefered knowledge of ecotourism and eco-friendly procedures)
Manage linen cleaning services to ensure proper inventory levels for projected guest counts
Inspects premises, guest rooms, linen rooms, and public areas to assure employees maintain the property’s standards of housekeeping (10%)
Housekeeping duties such as assisting with room turnovers, meeting facility cleaning, deep cleaning, and other housekeeping projects (70%) . Maintain an organized and properly stocked housekeeping closets in Lhasa Inn and other guest lodging buildings
Maintain cleanliness of Menla vehicle interiors on weekly/bi-weekly basis
Creates a service environment focused on the guest, with a passion for high standards in cleanliness.
Responds promptly to customer needs and delegates duties to resolve guest requests
Two – Four years prior hotel housekeeping experience (Supervisory experience highly desired!)
Physically capable of cleaning, lifting, and carrying out other physical aspects of job
Basic purchasing and inventory skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Ability to schedule staff efficiently .
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
