Named after the capital of Bhutan, Thimphu is a two-story chalet-style building located behind Lhasa Inn at the foot of the northern mountain ridge. Each room faces the southern ridge with excellent views of the mountain. The entry to this building has an outdoor staircase and is not appropriate for people who have difficulty climbing stairs.
Thimphu has eight deluxe double rooms, with every two rooms sharing a bathroom. Six of the eight rooms have one queen and one twin bed, with the other two rooms having two twin beds.
“Really enjoyed my time at Menla. It’s amazingly peaceful and quiet, the people are incredibly nice and approachable, the humility of the Dalai Lama permeates throughout the place. The accommodations are nice and the food is great.”
“A Paradise in the mountains. Usually you expect basic accommodations for a Retreat Center, but the rooms are amazing.”
“Beautiful setting, Beautiful facility, and the most beautiful people.”
