Gratitude Yoga Spring Retreat Lovingkindness: Cultivate Boundless Love and Compassion

Awaken the tremendous goodness that lies within you and recognize your innate capacity for boundless, enduring, unconditional love and compassion through metta/loving kindness practices that foster wise equanimity, deep inner peace, and a profound connection to yourself and others through pure love.

Our three-night retreat will include yoga, walks in the woods, meditation, mindfulness, reading and journaling assignments, and metta practices (spiritual exercises to cultivate loving kindness and compassion.)

Friday, May 4th

  • 7:30 – 9 pm Light Stretching and General Orientation

Saturday, May 5th

  • 7 – 8 am Meditation
  • 8 – 9 am Breakfast
  • 10 am – 12 pm Vinyasa Flow and Metta Practices
  • 12 – 1 pm Lunch
  • 12 – 4 pm Free time (spa treatments, hiking, rest)
  • 4 – 6 pm Deep Stretching/Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra
  • 6:30 – 7:30 pm Dinner
  • 7:45 – 9 pm Evening Meditation/Metta Practice/Kirtan (live music)

Sunday, May 6th

Teacher

Gemma Farrell
Gemma Farrell has studied various styles of yoga, including Iyengar, Sivananda, Jivamukti, Yin, Insight, and Integral Yoga. Her current approach to teaching yoga fuses the precise alignment principles of Iyengar yoga with the freedom and creativity of a Vinyasa Flow practice, and incorporates the deeper release stretching and meditative aspects of Yin Yoga. Gemma sees yoga as a vehicle for self-discovery and a means for increasing awareness of the present moment, an opportunity to cultivate wisdom and compassion, and above all, an invitation to foster a spirit of devotion and open our hearts to love and serve others.
